Tripping the white fantastic

snow, canal

London again grinds to a halt this morning, as a couple of inches of white stuff blanket the ground in the early hours. Apparently, we didn’t build our tube and rail systems to cope with winter weather!

It was beautiful outside when I finally braved the cold to peek out from under my duvet, and as I walked to the tube, there was a guy building a snowman in Museum Gardens! *sigh* if only!

Tube chaos followed, and as I gave up on the tube at Bank, I met two ladies from work: who were complaining bitterly about delays and cancelled meetings… Oh how I wish for the days of school closures at the first sign of white. Why can’t that happen for us now?

So much for adulthood…
