daily text

I get an email devotion each day from the Moravians, in an attempt to turn some of my focus to God each day… Today’s seemed pertinent to the previous post, so I thought I’d share it:

Speak out for those who cannot speak, for the rights of all the
destitute. Proverbs 31:8
Paul said, “In all this I have given you an example that by such work we
must support the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus, for he
himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.'” Acts 20:35
Empower us with words of wisdom and willing hearts and hands, O God of
justice. May we remember when we feed the hungry or clothe the naked we
do this for you and in your holy name. Amen.
