A tale of two filters – or – How I learned to stop being picky and love Jessops incompetence…

I mean, really. How hard is it to scan some slides in, huh?

The first set is too blue, the second too red. Kodachrome has some lovely, golden colours. They’re not here…

(some of the results don’t look half too bad though)

  1. And the easy listening ones we love are the ones the most submitted to lens abberations and the accidents of mechanics, delighting to say you were really there savouring, happy as the 70s. I was made to think of Cormac McCarthy’s The Road.. not sure exactly why, perhaps for reasons entirely unconnected to the photos, something in the unpeopled sunsets, longing tracks and flint house. Or perhaps it was the blue. I loved the wall of trees, I also love that if you look long enough faces appear in it.

ready to populate the warm peaceful emptiness and shout and fill it with sound for it invites you in like paper packages with your carefully handwritten name. they’re beautiful photographs, Andy.

But no matter how you slice it, they are lovely! You are off and running friend. And have inspired me to get back to actual FILM!
